St. Mark’s, Richmond, was pleased to make a very large donation of facial masks to several needy organizations. The masks were originally given to St. Mark’s thanks to Mask-It-On under the direction of Dr. Thomas Vu. Lou and Harris Cloninger had made the original contact with Dr. Vu. Lou and Harris stated that, “It is their goal to secure many more masks for our church to distribute. We wanted to get these quickly because Dr. Vu has had many requests. He has personally paid for all of these masks because he has been successful in this business and now he is switching over to giving back to those in need. We would also like any of you who might know of a large or small business, government agency or corporation that might have a need for masks to remember Dr. Vu. He distributes all over and we would all like to see him stay in business.” Dr. Vu can be reached at 713 492-9400, a7dent@yahoo.com, mask.it.on.america@gmail.com or at 1734 Ravenel Ln, Sugar Land, TX 77479.
Christ Church Cathedral’s the Rev. Greg Seme, who is responsible for outreach at the cathedral, works directly with the Beacon and the homeless population. The Rev. Seme working through the Beacon will be distributing 2,000 of Dr. Vu’s masks to the homeless, poor and indigent population. In addition, The Attack Poverty group of Fort Bend County, under the direction of Brandon Baca CEO, was given 1,600 masks that will be distributed at eight distribution points in the county. Another 200 were given to Meals on Wheels with contact person Isobel Gotschall and an additional 200 were given to the Salvation Army of New Orleans with contact person Jeannie Reaves.
