Because Hurricane Laura’s center was in Louisiana, damage appears not to be widespread in our eastern region. We are in contact with our congregations as they continue their storm assessments, however, and we will know more in the days to come.
Many are asking how to help, and we are grateful! At this phase of a disaster, the most urgent help needed is in the form of financial contributions. Gift cards are always welcome for groceries, gasoline, home supplies, or clothing.
- Donations can be made to Episcopal Relief & Development who disburses donated funds to impacted dioceses to quickly assist their most vulnerable storm survivors.
